ABA Therapy

Our specialized 1:1 ABA Therapy program provides intensive intervention to help develop and increase skills as well as manage a variety of challenging behaviours. Our well-trained therapists work closely with each child, following individualized treatment plans to address their unique needs and goals.

Through a comprehensive skills assessment (i.e., ABLLS-R or VBMAPP), direct observation by the clinical team and feedback from parents and caregivers, we collaborate as a team to develop and work towards specific goals through individualized skill programs.

All programs, whether skill acquisition or behaviour reduction, include strategies for generalizing the learned principals in a variety of ways. We strongly encourage parent and care-giver involvement through observations and coaching sessions with your child to help implement the strategies outside of the Centre.

At our center, we believe in the power of 1:1 ABA Therapy to promote positive behavior change, skill development, and overall improvement in the quality of life for individuals and their families. Join us on this journey towards meaningful progress and enhanced well-being for children on the spectrum.

Social Groups

Our Social Skills Group is a structured program designed to enhance social communication and interpersonal skills using the basic principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). These groups are facilitated by our instructor therapists and provide children with opportunities to practice and develop essential social skills in a supportive environment.

These groups typically run in 5-week blocks with each session focusing on a different theme. Every child will have their own goals; these goals may include improving conversation skills, understanding non-verbal cues, making and maintaining friendships, and managing social challenges.

ABA principles, such as positive reinforcement and systematic teaching methods, are applied to encourage desired social behaviors and address challenging ones. The children receive feedback and reinforcement for practicing positive social interactions.

ABA Social Skills Groups are particularly beneficial for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other social communication challenges. By providing a structured and supportive environment, these groups aim to foster the development of essential social skills, ultimately improving individuals’ ability to navigate social interactions in various settings.

Dyad Program

The Dyad Program pairs two children with one instructor, matching children with similar or complementary strengths and programs. This program promotes the generalization of skills previously learned from structured programming to a pre-academic setting.

Tailored to each child’s unique needs, this program targets specific communication, social and collaborative skill goals, and manages behaviours in a classroom-like environment. This program is ideal for children who are able to follow multi-step instructions and be around peers in the absence of behaviour.

Ready, Set, School Program

The Ready, Set, School program groups 3 to 5 children and focuses on school readiness skills; such as attending to a teacher at the front of a classroom, collaborating and problem-solving with peers, and independent work in a group setting.

Each child’s unique goals and programs are incorporated to foster learning in a group environment, helping to prepare them for a future transition to a classroom setting. This program is best suited for children who will be transitioning to a school environment or who are able to sit and attend in a small group.
